Italy, Parma - Ponte Nord
The works consist of two adjoining bridges with an approximate length of 155m, one carrying four lanes of traffic and other being a covered footbridge with three floors. The bridges have three spans, and are built of steelwork with floors of vibrated reinforced concrete on predalle slabs for the road and on corrugated sheets for the pedestrian side. The beams of the street level deck rest on two abutments and two piers, which are unique for both bridges. The six foundation plinths rest on bored piles. The works include the construction of a ground level car park with 60 spaces, roads and two new roundabouts. |
