PIZZAROTTI SA has been awarded, as a partner of the \u201cPonte Valnit\u201d consortium formed with the companies Mancini Marti and Ennio Ferrari SA, Lot 422 as part of the \u201cN02 Second Gotthard Tunnel (2TG)\u201d project for the new bridge at the Airolo interchange in the Canton of Ticino.<\/p>\n

The Valnit bridge will have a length of about 250m and the main structure will consist of a single-cell box girder deck made of prestressed reinforced concrete. The main span of the bridge, 96m long, will be built over the basin of the Ticino Electric Company AET using the cantilever technique with successive segments cast in place. The side spans, each about 50m long, will be built with traditional ribs.<\/p>\n

The bridge piers, about 16m high and made of reinforced concrete, will be placed on the north side. The foundations will be deep, built with 1.5m-diameter drilled piles, sized according to geological and geotechnical analyses to ensure the stability of the structure and manage interactions with the existing reservoir. The project also includes the construction of modern offices for the Contractor and Construction Management, strategically placed to allow continuous supervision of operations. This project will significantly improve connectivity in the area, using advanced construction techniques and high-quality materials.<\/p>\n
