World Environment Day
World Environment Day has been celebrated since 1972 and is the United Nations’ primary vehicle for encouraging global environmental awareness and action.
This year’s theme is plastic pollution, an ever-present issue that permeates every corner of the planet.
In ‘s efforts to address environmental challenges, Impresa Pizzarotti has decided to integrate sustainability into every decision-making process and daily operations. Our mission is to preserve the environment through continuous analysis of significant aspects in order to prevent possible impacts, using resources rationally and sustainably and prioritizing the recovery and recycling of raw materials, both within construction sites and in offices in daily life.
We prevent local pollution by adopting an extensive “Risk Management” approach, reduce waste generation through recovery and recycling processes, and engage in staff training in order to increase environmental awareness and prevent accidents and potential negative impacts. Separate waste collection is implemented not only for plastics but also for iron, lumber, paper. inert materials, oils and greases, paints and thinners, batteries, waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), asphalt milling, excavated soil and rocks, and construction and demolition materials.
We understand that the transition to a sustainable development model requires commitment, collaboration and innovation. However, we are confident that through our continued commitment and determination, we can help create a more sustainable and resilient future for present and future generations.
