In recent days, with the inspection visit by DL Ing. Donato, the completion of the new Roccalumera Community House was declared.

The integrated contract project involved the complete renovation of the building (formerly the medical centre) as well as improving its energy efficiency. The work was divided into several phases.

The first phase involved structural consolidation and the elimination of the causes of dampness due to the presence of the underlying Allume Torrent, which in the past had caused significant deterioration of the structure. The second phase was then launched, involving the complete internal and external redevelopment of the building, the complete overhaul of all water, sanitation, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as all the finishing works necessary to complete the project to the highest standards (doors, fixtures, air conditioning, fire prevention systems, etc.).

After the complete waterproofing package was redone and finished with slate sheathing, a photovoltaic system of approximately 19kW was installed on the roof of the building. Thanks to the Pizzarotti staff in Messina, Engineer Repici and Surveyor Franco, the designer Architect Oddi Baglioni from Studio Lenzi, and all the companies that contributed to the success of this redevelopment project: Greentech, Real Costruzioni, Alfa Infissi, and Pirronello.

Thanks to all of them, it was possible to complete the new community centre in the village within the contractual timeframe and in compliance with the requirements. We would like to thank the village for welcoming and hosting us since October 2023. For us at Pizzarotti, it has been a pleasure and an honour to leave behind not only fond memories but also something that will undoubtedly be useful to the whole community.
