Work begins on the new Community House in Roccalumera and San Piero Patti

Work has begun and is successfully advancing on the renovation of two major health care facilities in the province of Messina, which will become Community Houses (CoCs), key spaces for primary health care.

In Roccalumera, the renovation of the former polyclinic building includes the demolition of walls and attic on the ground floor, with the creation of an aerated crawl space and a modernization of spaces to accommodate the new health services. Fixtures, floors, fixtures and interior spaces will be renovated to comply with accreditation regulations.

At the same time, work has begun at the former P.O. Paladini Bua facility in San Piero Patti. Here, the renovation will involve the outpatient clinic on the ground floor, the family counseling center on the second floor and unused spaces, with the renovation of the electrical, photovoltaic, water and fire-fighting systems, as well as the renovation of the elevator and flooring.

The new San Piero Patti Community House will have 573 square meters of functional space to ensure primary care health services.

These interventions are essential to improve the quality and accessibility of health services in the area.
