Visit by the technical safety commission to the CHU in Guadeloupe
In recent days, the technical safety commission visited the future University Hospital of Guadeloupe with the aim of validating the fire prevention, evacuation and safety devices ahead of the facility’s upcoming opening. The meeting was attended by representatives of the fire brigade and emergency services, the Deputy Prefect, the Municipality of Pointe-à-Pitre, safety officers, as well as the engineers and architects responsible for the project.
The new CHU has been designed to adapt quickly to the needs of the local area. Its modular structure allows it to increase its capacity from 558 to 595 beds without additional work, enabling it to respond effectively to an increase in activity, a massive influx of patients or emergency situations. An agile and adaptable hospital, capable of guaranteeing a rapid and effective response.
