Update from the Piadena-Mantua railway doubling construction site

Work on the Piadena-Mantua railway doubling project is continuing on all fronts.
Thirty-four kilometres of embankment, eight overpasses, three underpasses and an artificial tunnel: all construction sites are now open for the project commissioned to the consortium of Impresa Pizzarotti, Saipem, Gruppo ICM and Salcef Group by RFI Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, with works management and safety coordination by FS Engineering (both FS Group companies).

In Piadena, work is underway on the installation of micropiles for pier 3 of the future railway bridge; in Bozzolo, work is underway at the station on the construction of the new track 3, while at the viaduct over the Oglio River, the sub-foundation works on the left bank, on the Marcaria side, have been completed.

The foundation works for pier 1 on the Bozzolo side will also be completed shortly. Construction of the central pier in the riverbed and work on the eight railway bridges are also underway.

Nei prossimi giorni partiranno anche i lavori di realizzazione delle solette e delle rampe.
