The works of the Community Hospital at the Municipality of Scicli (belonging to the PNRR investment line) and the House of the Community of Vittoria (Ragusa) have officially begun.

The new Community Hospital, whose services will be housed on the second floor of Pavilion N of the Busacca di Scicli Hospital, with an area of about 860 square meters, will provide 20 beds for a total of 13 inpatient rooms, environments that will be modernised from the point of view of finishes and technological components, with total renovation of the interior and exterior fixtures, toilets and all the plant.

The primary objective of the project is to increase the number of premises in order to accommodate all the functions of the new ODC., with the aggregation and concentration of several services in a single territorial area. The structure identified for the construction of the House of the Community of Vittoria, owned by ASP Ragusa, currently houses a multi-clinic and is inserted in the urban area of the City of Vittoria, with main access from the Acate street in the north of the town.

The House of the Community of Vittoria instead, whose structure now houses a polyclinic, will be a structure composed of two elevations above ground for a total area of about 1300 square meters, in which multidisciplinary teams of general practitioners will operate, Free choice paediatricians, specialist doctors, community nurses and social workers, and will have as its dual objective the increase of efficiency and the pursuit of equity and universalism that characterize our SSN.

The whole will be divided into four homogeneous macro-areas: SPECIALIST Macro-Area, PRIMARY CARE, PROXIMITY ASSISTANCE and GENERAL AND LOGISTIC SERVICES.
