‘The challenge of Artificial Intelligence for Construction’: are we really ready?
ANCE asked this question during the round table organised yesterday in which institutional representatives, technology leaders and AI governance professionals participated, including Impresa Pizzarotti.
Present at the Rome Chamber of Commerce, where the meeting took place, was Denise Po, Innovation Manager at Pizzarotti. ‘Now is the time to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies in the industry.’
The Future of Construction Sites is Digital: Sensors, software and algorithms allow us to control, interpret and predict risks, revolutionising the way construction sites operate. These technologies address the imperatives of sustainability, safety, social responsibility, operational efficiency and simplified reporting.
Challenges to be faced:
- Training: We must train technicians to integrate digital technologies and maintain our competitiveness in the global market.
Investment: It is essential to incentivise the use of AI. We must reverse the current vision and promote innovation and experimentation for all companies.
‘Our vision? – concluded Denise Po’ – We envisage National Poles of Excellence, such as the future AI-HUB in Sicily in Mineo, which will act as catalysts for digitisation. These spaces will offer advanced training, stimulate the adoption of AI, and become reference points for the industry. Let us exploit Sicily’s potential as a connectivity hub to drive technological development and close the competitive gap.’
