With the demolition of the last diaphragm in the Telese Artificial Tunnel, Impresa Pizzarotti has completed the most complex part of the civil works for the Frasso Telesino – Telese section, a fundamental stage in the completion of the High Speed/High Capacity Naples – Bari line.

The demolition of the last diaphragm will unite the excavation fronts of the Telese artificial tunnel, allowing the completion of a tunnel about 3 km long that joins the Amorosi station to the Telese station and constitutes the main work on the section.

The work on the entire Frasso Telesino – Telese section consists of doubling and speeding up the line for a total length of about 11 km, developing mainly adjacent to the existing railway line (6 km), alternating with sections of new line (5 km), in the latter of which the tunnel falls.

In addition, the construction of the new Amorosi and Telese stops is planned, which are important for connecting local communities. Thanks to the completion of the tunnel and other civil works along the section, with the first phase of activation of the Frasso Telesino – Telese, by 2026 a further important section will be added to the direct connection between Naples and Bari.
