Started in 2021 following the previous and unexpected collapse of the side cladding of the tunnel on 8 June 2017, the consolidation and safety works carried out inside the two pipes have recently been completed.

The nocturnal interventions carried out in these three years mainly concerned the definitive static consolidation of the tunnel.
In order to complete the work, an internal cladding ring was created in the potentially hydrogeologically critical areas.
