The Cité du Ministère de la Justice project in Saint Laurent du Maroni in French Guiana has just passed a key milestone. Impresa Pizzarotti, the company responsible for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the project, recently obtained approval for the PRO design phase and the necessary administrative and environmental authorisations.

Once this first phase was completed, the work teams began excavation work, quickly mobilising human and material resources to meet the start date and take advantage of the best weather conditions. At the same time, the project team organised itself, creating real synergy between the departments, with at least thirty employees already mobilised on site.

The next phase is scheduled for the end of October with the first civil engineering works (connecting tunnel) and a planned start date for the deep foundations in the first quarter of 2026.
