The year 2024 in Romania closed with a great success: Lot 1 of the A7 Highway was opened to traffic in the presence of State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport Irinel Ionel Scriosteanu and representatives of the CNAIR Client.

The A7 highway, “Moldovei Highway,” connects the city of Ploiesti, in the vicinity of Bucharest, and Pascani, located along the border with Ukraine.

The works of Lot 1, assigned to the Joint Venture Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. – Retter Project Management, start from km 0+000 with the interchange with the A3 highway, and continue until km 21+000. The goal of this opening, which took place within the contractual timeframe, was also achieved thanks to the exemplary mobilization of more than 800 human resources and 350 vehicles that allowed to reach significant monthly productions, including material handling of more than 300,000 cubic meters and asphalt production and paving of 75,000 tons, working day and night, weekends and holidays, to allow the opening to traffic in accordance with the schedule.

The entire Team is now focused on completing the work outside the highway site for the Taking Over to the customer, scheduled for early 2025.
