The project involves the renovation of part of the existing Emergency Department building and the construction of a new wing to house the Emergency and First Aid Service.
The design of the new building focuses on harmonious integration with the urban context, the humanization of interior spaces, and the use of advanced and eco-friendly technologies. Particular attention is paid to achieving the right balance between natural and artificial light, with the goal of maximizing energy savings.
The new building spans three levels:
- Ground floor: covered parking with 27 spaces, serving staff and the public, as well as changing rooms and utility rooms.
- First floor: functional area dedicated to reception and healthcare activities, including a waiting room, admission area, triage, radiology unit, pediatric area, and spaces for high- and medium-priority procedures.
- Second floor: technical level housing the HVAC systems and the supporting structure of the zinc-titanium roof, characterized by a shell-like shape.
