The Cortina Sliding Center is the bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge track built for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, one of the most complex sports infrastructure projects in Europe. 

Completed in just 13 months, five months ahead of similar facilities, the project was coordinated by Impresa Pizzarotti, which was responsible for the executive design, construction, and integration of the technological systems.

The track’s full functionality was confirmed by the approval of the International Federations, obtained on November 18, 2025. A distinctive feature of the facility is its refrigeration system: it is the first competition track in the world to be cooled with glycol, with a 96% reduction in ammonia and highly efficient temperature control.

With a length of 1,749 meters, 16 curves, and a maximum speed of 145 km/h, the track hosts all bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton disciplines and is also accessible to athletes with disabilities. The facility was designed as a sports park that can be used all year round and host activities, events, and sporting initiatives.
