The project includes railway track, electric traction systems, other railway technologies, and stopping and station systems. The construction of a 2,865-meter-long artificial tunnel in Telese, seven viaducts totaling 930 meters, a 312-meter railway overpass, and two new stations, Amorosi and Telese, is planned. The Naples–Bari high-speed line is an integral part of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN–T) and the Scandinavian–Mediterranean Corridor.
Project awarded, developed and launched by a JV in which Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.a. held a stake together with other industrial partners. On 30 June 2026, Impresa Pizzarotti’s share was transferred to a company within the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, along with all relevant appurtenances (human resources, equity interests, contractual arrangements, technical and experiential requirements, etc.)
