Battipaglia – Romagnano functional lot, part of the new Salerno – Reggio Calabria high-speed line. The work consists of the construction of a new 35 km standard high-speed line between Battipaglia and Romagnano, where a junction is planned for interconnection with the existing line towards Potenza and Metaponto. The project involves the construction of 18 km of tunnels and viaducts for a total length of approximately 6 km. The completion of the new Salerno-Reggio Calabria railway line, an integral part of the TEN-T Scandinavia – Mediterranean Corridor connecting Palermo to Helsinki, allows the development of new passenger and freight traffic along the north-south axis of the peninsula.

Project awarded, developed and launched by a JV in which Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.a. held a stake together with other industrial partners. On 30 June 2026, Impresa Pizzarotti’s share was transferred to a company within the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, along with all relevant appurtenances (human resources, equity interests, contractual arrangements, technical and experiential requirements, etc.)
