The Baie Marquet residential complex rises in Cap d’Ail, Côte d’Azur, in a privileged urban context on the coastal route leading from the west to the Principality of Monaco.

Designed by the Milan-based studio of Giovanni Longo and Alessandro Palmarini, it defines an architecture of solid conceptions, which amalgamates Mediterranean features with the use of high-performance technological materials.

The complex consists of two separate building bodies of different sizes, which are connected to the centrally located staircase body through glass-paneled walkways with wooden floors. The staircase body becomes an ordering element proposing itself as a highly visible volume with a compositional and decorative function as well.

The project sharply defines the basement as a recognizable element of unified connection for the complex: a long continuous band of cladding, interrupted by the opening for the pedestrian entrance and the two entrances to the garages, which are developed on the floor at street level and in two additional basement levels. The residence is developed with differentiated housing cuts, with green areas, large terraces and loggias.
