Positive meeting with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which visited the bobsled, skeleton and luge track at the Sliding Centre in Cortina d’Ampezzo

During yesterday morning’s inspection, representatives of the International Federations, the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Cortina, Impresa Pizzarotti C. S.p.A. and Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation confirmed the steady progress of the works.

In particular, the focus was on the Sento curve, where the quality of the spritz beton was approved, a crucial step for the progress of the works. The high quality achieved and approved ensures that the slope can also be used in the summer time, helping to promote its use in the hot season with roller bobsledding and thus enabling a 365-day-a-year commitment of the Sliding Centre.

In addition, a detailed timeline has been presented that includes the employment of approximately 105 workers, with the goal of ensuring completion on schedule. With the support and cooperation of all the agencies involved, the construction site continues at full speed toward the realization of a landmark work for the 2026 Games.
