PIZZAROTTI SA has been awarded, as a partner in the temporary consortium (Associazione Temporanea d’Imprese) formed with the company CIR*AMBIENTE S.P.A., for the Brescia East – Verona functional lot, the contract for the supply and installation of anti-noise barriers for the HS line and the historical line in operation, as part of the HS/HC Turin-Venice line, Milan-Verona section.

The award includes the supply and installation of noise barriers consisting of prefabricated soundproofing/sound-absorbing panels made of concrete and expanded clay laid within special metal posts. For heights above 3 meters from the iron plane, the barrier will be completed by perforated steel box panels with sound-absorbing material inside. This includes materials and works for anchoring the supporting structures, accessories needed to anchor the panels to the upright, sealing gaskets, joints where necessary and devices for the equi potential of the structure.

The total development of the barriers supplied and laid is just over 11 km for a surface area of approx. 68,270 m2; the metal posts, 3,763 pieces, amount to 4,294 t overall. The panels are supplied by Pizzarotti Prefabbricati of Ponte Taro (Parma), Italy’s leading manufacturer of these elements. The awarding of this mandate to Pizzarotti SA confirms the company’s role for strategic contracts outside Switzerland.
