Pizzarotti consolidates its presence in Romania by winning the construction of the A0 North Lot 1 motorway, better known as the “Bucharest Center”. This is a fundamental work for the mobility of the Capital, which will allow traffic to be fluid with consequent benefits in terms of socio-environmental impacts. The value of the work is close to 170 million euros. Pizzarotti is the leader of the group, with a 70% share, which includes Retter Project management at 30%.
The client is the National Society for the Administration of Road Infrastructures (CNAIR). The contract includes 12 months of design, 22 months of execution of works and 120 months of warranty. In Romania, Pizzarotti has already built the important Bucharest – Brasov motorway and the Vintu de JOS railway, for the promotion of rail mobility along the Pan-Europe Corridor IV and has other important ongoing infrastructure projects, linked to the PNRR.
