On the night of Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27, the highway span of the IV23 overpass was launched in record time, allowing the Società Autostrade to reopen the Peschiera – Sirmione highway section earlier than the scheduled nighttime closure time.

The steel and concrete overpass, about 260 meters long and wider than the previous one, consists of six spans and will allow vehicular traffic to bypass, in the municipality of Desenzano del Garda, the new railway and the A4 highway.

The overpass is scheduled for completion in spring 2025.
