New contract awarded in Switzerland:Expansion of logistics facilities in Canton Ticino,Quinto,Ambrì and Claro
New contract awarded in Switzerland to the joint venture comprising Pizzarotti SA (50%) and Ennio Ferrari SA (50%): Expansion of logistics facilities in northern Ticino, at the Quinto, Ambrì and Claro sites.
The project involves a complex series of construction works spread across three separate sites in the Canton of Ticino: Ambrì, Quinto and Claro. It is part of a functional and logistical reorganisation of the existing infrastructure, with the aim of boosting operational capacity and improving service efficiency.
At the Ambri site, a new warehouse building is planned, constructed with prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, designed to ensure durability, rapid assembly and optimisation of storage space.
At the Quinto site, the project includes the construction of two new buildings: a vehicle depot, designed to accommodate heavy vehicles and ensure efficient logistics, and a mechanical workshop building that will also house a brake test bench, a meeting room and sanitary facilities, as well as technical and service areas.
At the Claro site, on the other hand, a new covered vehicle depot is to be built to protect vehicles from the elements and extend their operational life.
The contract also includes the construction of foundations and slabs, the renovation of external flooring, with adaptation of the traffic class according to the new design requirements, the installation of sewage and rainwater connection pipes between the new buildings and the municipal sewer system or discharge into the river.
In the case of Quinto, connections to the electricity and drinking water networks, as well as new outdoor lighting systems.
