Naples–Bari High-Speed Rail Link: a masterpiece of engineering that unites Italy

The Frasso Telesino–Telese section is a crucial link in the European TEN-T ‘Scandinavia–Mediterranean’ corridor. This complex strategic project will revolutionise sustainable transport in Southern Italy, cutting journey times and drastically reducing CO₂ emissions.

In the video, footage recorded at our construction sites shows the progress of the works and the construction efforts that will enable the development of extraordinary infrastructure, including:

  • The complex Telese tunnel, over 2.8 kilometres long.
  • Seven large railway and road viaducts.
  • The future, modern stations at Amorosi and Telese.

This infrastructure portfolio was entirely awarded, developed and commissioned by a consortium led by Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. as the majority shareholder, together with its industrial partners Itinera, Ghella and Salcef. An extraordinary achievement made possible solely thanks to the know-how, dedication and technical expertise of our workforce and our technicians.

The video footage shows the state of the art of the construction sites as at 30 June 2026. On the same date, Impresa Pizzarotti’s shareholding and related assets were officially transferred to FS Rail Construction (Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group), which will continue the project towards completion.

We are proud to have played a part in launching and developing this major railway project.
