Minister Abodi Visits Cortina Bobsled Track Construction Site
Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, recently visited the construction site of the bobsled, skeleton and luge track in Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the key projects for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. Accompanied by the Government Commissioner and CEO of Simico, Arch. Fabio Massimo Saldini, Abodi had the opportunity to check the progress of the work.
During the visit, the minister gave a very positive assessment: “I had a fantastic impression of the progression of the construction site. This ‘technological creature’ is evolving and the commitment of human capital is evident. Simico’s direction demonstrates excellent time management, which is essential given the short time available. I imagine the great impact it will have when the work is completed and the environmental safeguards are also completed. The track will be one of the most advanced in the world and will make the place even more fascinating. The Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics will definitely have a track that lives up to the athletes’ expectations.”
