While the excavation of the Sciglio and Taormina tunnels continues, in the past few days the operations to move to the excavation face of the remaining two of the four TBMs, Forza D’Agrò and Scaletta, which will be used for the construction of the railway doubling of the Giampilieri-Fiumefreddo section, have been completed.

The first will carry out the excavation of the Forza D’Agrò and Letojanni tunnels for a total length of 6,400m x 2. The second, on the other hand, will be used to excavate the Scaletta and Quali tunnels for a total length of 6,950m x 2.
