The “Lancement des travaux préalables” of the BFPE de La Timone in Marseille was held a few days ago, a major event for the city and the entire region, with the participation of authoritative institutional representatives: Catherine Vautrin (ministre du Travail, de la Santé, des Solidarités et des Familles de France), Martine Vassal (président de la Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence et du Département des Bouches-du-Rhône), Olivier Brahic (DGA of Agence régionale de santé – Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur (ARS Paca), Isabelle Epaillard (Préfet de la région Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur et des Bouches-du-Rhône) Michèle Rubirola (Première adjointe et Président du Conseil de surveillance de l’AP-HM), François Cremieux (directeur général de l’AP-H) and Prof. Jean-Luc Jouve.

This new building, dedicated to women, parents and children, represents a milestone for the local health system. The Bâtiment Femme, Parents, Enfants will offer a modern and welcoming environment that brings together several essential health services under one roof, guaranteeing an integrated and specialised approach to the health of the whole family. There will be spaces dedicated to prenatal care, maternity, paediatrics and support for parents, with the aim of simplifying care pathways and improving the quality of care.

This innovative project underlines the importance of putting people and their well-being at the centre.
