The new Arco Mirelli station, built by Impresa Pizzarotti & C. s.p.a. to a design by Hans Kollhoff, has also been commissioned.

Main access of the station, a steel and glass pavilion inserted in the green in a system of tree-lined flowerbeds that reproduce the character of the nearby eighteenth-century garden.

The interior of the station, developed on several levels and characterized by classical elements, prestigious materials, and works of art, also the ability to listen to music. Among the works of art by the German artist Rebecca Horn that adorn the station in fact, is accompanied by background sound by musicians Hayden Chisholm and André Baum.

This makes Arco Mirelli the first Naples Metro Station where you can listen to music.

Line 6 as a whole is about 6 km long and has 8 total stations that will connect the Mostra D’Oltremare of Naples to Piazza Municipio in just 13 minutes. It will cross the district of Fuorigrotta and the Chiaia Riviera, allowing the convenient use of the waterfront and central areas of the city, and also allowing considerable savings in terms of CO2 emissions.
