Pizzarotti Sliding Center Winter Greetings: a special event for all the people involved in the project
Last night, at the Alexander Girardi Hall in Cortina, a special event was held for all those people who are contributing to the realization of the Cortina Sliding Center – Redevelopment Eugenio Monti.
An opportunity to take stock of the progress of work and, above all, to express our sincere thanks to all those who are working on this important project. During the event, images of faces were alternated, of men and women who work every day with commitment and dedication on site, in factories, offices, to celebrate not only the idea and the infrastructure that takes shape, the labour force that makes it possible.
The event was attended by Councilor Giorgio Da Rin of the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo; Arch. fabio massimo saldini, Government Commissioner and CEO of SIMICO; Paolo Pizzarotti, Francesco Aguglia, Claudio Tenna, Denise Novero, respectively President, General Manager Italy, Project Director and Technical Director of Cantiere di Impresa Pizzarotti and Michele Titton, CEO of ITS Engineering Company and Works Director of the Cortina project. Paolo Pizzarotti, President of Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. said: “At the end of 2023 the possibility to build a bobsleigh track in Cortina in time for the upcoming Winter Olympics could seem like an almost impossible challenge.
Today, after 10 months of hard work, the goal is near”. Francesco Aguglia, General Manager of Impresa Pizzarotti in Italy said: “The Cortina Sliding Centre is a complex engineering work to be carried out in very tight time. It requires a huge daily effort on the part of technicians and workers in a mountain environment certainly complex. There are many stakeholders to coordinate and the challenge is great, but thanks to the commitment of all workers, direct and subcontractors, we can look with confidence at the goal”.
A heartfelt thanks to all the people involved in this extraordinary project, with the certainty that, together, we will reach the final goal!
