International Day of Women in Engineering

Today, June 23, is the International Day of Women in Engineering, universally known as the International Day of Women in Engineering (INWED).

The Day was initiated by the Women’s Engineering Society, the first professional body established for women working in all areas of engineering, born in the United Kingdom in 1919.

The anniversary was celebrated for the first time in 2014, in order to raise awareness of women’s achievements in engineering. The aim is also to encourage more and more young women to pursue careers in the field, as well as to promote diversity and inclusion in engineering professions.

In Pizzarotti the commitment to full gender equality is concrete and constant, as evidence of this, the words of our colleagues Maria Bucerzan, Head of Technical Office from Romania and Luisa Attolini, Technical Assistant at the COU, Contract Coordination from France.

Impresa Pizzarotti & C. s.p.a. is proud to constantly support and commit to full gender equality. Breaking down stereotypes and preconceptions is the heart of those who want to innovate, bringing into society new ways of seeing and thinking about tomorrow.
