Inauguration of the new school year at the Casa d’Italia in Zurich

After ten years of waiting, the Casa d’Italia in Zurich is finally back to life, and it is a great source of pride for Impresa Pizzarotti to have overseen the completion of this extraordinary renovation project.

With the inauguration of the 2026-2027 school year in the newly renovated rooms of the historic building, we are restoring to the community a modern and functional space, inserted in a context steeped in history and deeply linked to the Italian presence in Switzerland.

As pointed out by the Consul General of Italy in Zurich, Mario Baldi: « The beginning of the school year in the newly renovated Casa d’Italia is an important achievement, although still partial, because it represents the first step towards the complete rebirth of the Casa d’Italia. Today we are returning this building to Italian schools and our students; in the coming months, we will complete the relocation of the other Italian institutions that will find their headquarters here.»

The start of school activities takes on a strong symbolic value: the first to return to the Casa d’Italia are precisely the young people and students, welcomed into completely redeveloped spaces thanks to our constructive commitment and an important strategic investment by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

A historical heritage recovered and returned to full functionality, which once again becomes the beating heart of Italian culture and institutions in the heart of Zurich.
