Inauguration and opening to the public of the new Stabia Scavi Station

With the inauguration and opening to the public of the new Stabia Scavi Station, a project of great strategic value is taking shape for the enhancement of the regional metropolitan system and the promotion of the archaeological area of Stabia, as part of the doubling of the Circumvesuviana line towards Sorrento.

This project is part of a wider programme to double the Torre Annunziata – Castellammare di Stabia section, launched in 2020 thanks to a total investment of approximately €350 million provided by the Campania Region and carried out by the Consorzio Ferroviario S. Giorgio Volla Due (SGV2) consortium, of which Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. is part of, together with Hitachi Rail and AET.

For Impresa Pizzarotti, participation in this project represents further confirmation of its more than forty years of presence in the Naples area, characterised by technical expertise, reliability, quality of workmanship and respect for deadlines.

The inauguration was attended by our General Manager Domestic Operations Francesco Aguglia, Project Manager Mario Barbati and the Pizzarotti team working on the Castellammare and Pompei construction sites, demonstrating the commitment and teamwork that continue to characterise the project.

Also present were the Mayor of Castellammare, Luigi Vicinanza, and the President of EAV, Umberto De Gregorio.

The new station, integrated with the 150-space park-and-ride facility already in operation, is part of a series of ongoing works that will continue until 2026, including civil and technological works, safety measures for the area and projects to improve accessibility and urban usability.

This concrete result strengthens the bond between Impresa Pizzarotti and the Campania region, contributing to the creation of modern, safe and sustainable infrastructure designed to improve the quality of mobility and enhance the cultural and environmental heritage of the area.
