Impresa Pizzarotti marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Today marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work, organised by the International Labour Organization (ILO).
This year’s theme is psychosocial well-being, an aspect that focuses not only on physical safety, but also on how people experience and perceive their work on a daily basis.

At Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A., this means working to reduce not only the risk of accidents, but also the factors that contribute to stress and operational complexity on construction sites, where one of the most critical situations is the interaction between machinery and people – currently one of the main causes of serious accidents and a source of significant pressure for those working on site.

That is why we have launched pilot projects at four construction sites and facilities (Consorzio Florentia, Giovi Tunnel, Lucignano and Pontetaro), where we are using advanced technologies and artificial intelligence solutions to prevent collisions and accidents. These technologies are designed not only to improve physical safety, but also to support workers in their day-to-day tasks, reducing situations involving perceived risk, decision-making uncertainty and the constant strain of maintaining constant vigilance.

Through experimentation, we gather data and insights that help us develop increasingly effective tools that are fully integrated into various operational contexts.

Our aim is clear: to make workplaces safer, but also more people-centred, by reducing accidents and contributing to people’s overall well-being.
