Impresa Pizzarotti for Margaritelli Ferroviaria S.p.A.
Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. has recently started assembly work on a new prefabricated building in Rodallo, in the municipality of Caluso (Turin), for a highly prestigious client in the railway construction sector: MARGARITELLI FERROVIARIA S.P.A.
The new building, destined to house production activities in the field of concrete railway track construction, will cover a total area of approximately 5,800 square metres. It will be flanked by a second, separate prefabricated building used as a technological centre. This is a private “water-to-ground” intervention, characterised by a structural mesh of 20×20 metres.
The roof structure consists of prestressed reinforced concrete beams: central ones with a rectangular cross-section and lateral ones, placed along the two eaves, with an ‘I’ cross-section. The roof tiles used are ‘Pitti 72’ bialar roofing tiles in pre-cast reinforced concrete, pre-insulated and pre-impermeable in the factory with a synthetic covering in TPO BRoof(t2). Between the tiles there are concrete slabs with a flat soffit, covered with special curved corrugated multi-layer sheets, which guarantee aesthetic and functional continuity.
The perimeter infill will be made of prefabricated panels with thermal break, laid both vertically and horizontally, with thicknesses of 30 and 32 cm, and smooth finish against metal formwork.
Assembly operations began on 23 June 2025, with the completion of the installation of the pillars, as documented in the pictures. The work is expected to be completed by the end of November 2025. In this project too, Pizzarotti Prefabbricati brings its know-how to bear to ensure quality, speed of execution and tailor-made construction solutions, perfectly tailored to the customer’s production needs.
