Impresa Pizzarotti confirms its commitment to inclusion
On the occasion of European Disability Employment Week, Impresa Pizzarotti carried out various initiatives on its construction sites, both in French Guiana and Marseille, involving institutional partners and professional integration stakeholders.
In French Guiana, internal awareness-raising events were organized through themed quizzes and educational materials, aimed at promoting a better understanding of the reality of disability, both on construction sites and within the company. The Pizzarotti Group took part in interprofessional meetings organized with AGEFIPH, Cap Emploi France, GCSMS du Pays de l’Artois, and all the organizations involved in this issue.
Among the most significant activities were participation in the Inclusion and Disability Village and the welcoming of four young people with disabilities as part of the DUODAY initiative, offering them the opportunity to discover our professions, participate in safety training, and visit the construction site of the new Ministry of Justice citadel in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni. The results are already tangible: an upcoming internship for one of the young people who participated in the initiative, the construction of an access ramp for people with disabilities, and further integration opportunities currently being evaluated.
Similarly, two women with disabilities were welcomed to the Timone Hospital construction site in Marseille as part of DUODAY, where they were able to learn about our activities and the start of construction of the Bâtiment Femmes Parents Enfants for the APHM. At our French branch, we also regularly welcome young interns undergoing professional retraining, with the aim of facilitating their integration. These initiatives confirm our commitment to making concrete progress towards a sustainable policy of inclusion and equal opportunities, in line with the requirements of our activities and the needs of the local area.
