The Naples-Bari high-speed rail project is entering a new phase of acceleration thanks to renewed institutional and operational commitment. MIT Undersecretary Tullio Ferrante visited the construction sites of the Cancello – Frasso Telesino section, confirming that work is proceeding apace and will be completed by 2025, with the goal of reducing the travel time between Naples and Bari to less than 2 1/2 hours.

“With 6 billion euros of investment, including PNRR resources, we are building not only a modern infrastructure, but also a more connected future for Southern Italy. This project will not only connect Naples and Bari in record time, but is part of a broader vision of strengthening the European Scandinavia-Mediterranean corridor, bringing the South closer to the heart of Europe,” Tullio Ferrante stressed.

The South is ready to run, and the Naples-Bari high-speed rail link is proof that when institutions work together, results are not slow in coming.
