The project for the new Timone hospital for women, parents and children has taken a major step forward: the building permit has been officially issued. For Impresa Pizzarotti, the company responsible for constructing the building, this milestone confirms the solidity of a strategic project for the entire Marseille area.

A 49,000 m² healthcare centre with 400 beds and a total investment of €266 million will bring together services currently spread across several sites in Marseille, improving care pathways, reception and quality of work for over 1,650 professionals.

Certified with the bronze level “Bâtiment Durable Méditerranéen” (Mediterranean Sustainable Building) label, the hospital is committed to energy efficiency. The project includes 500 m² of photovoltaic panels, grey water recovery, a dual-flow ventilation system, large terraces and interior spaces redesigned for the comfort and well-being of families and staff.

Preparatory work is already underway and civil engineering work is scheduled to begin in 2026.
