The Fourth Edition of the “Ingenio Women’s Thesis” Award

The fourth edition of the “Ingenio Women’s Thesis” Award, an initiative promoted by the National Council of Engineers and supported again this year by Impresa Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. as an Ambassador company, has successfully concluded.

This latest edition saw the awarding of prizes to the 5 best undergraduate theses and, for the first time, also to the best doctoral theses discussed during the period provided. An opportunity to enhance and promote the role of women in the technical field, with the aim of raising awareness of achieving Goal 5 of the UN 2030 Agenda: gender equality. The 5 theses awarded dealt with the theme “The 5.0 paradigm and the strategic role of engineering.”

The awards were divided as follows: civil-environmental engineering, industrial engineering, information engineering, an award, dedicated to the memory of Giulia Cecchettin, for theses in biomedical engineering, and an award for the best doctoral thesis.

With this initiative, Impresa Pizzarotti confirms its commitment to diversity and inclusion (D&I), as evidenced by ISO 30415 Diversity and Inclusion and UNI/PdR 125 Gender Equality certifications. An important step to support female recent graduates, offering them the same professional and pay opportunities as their male colleagues and increasingly encouraging the presence of women in the technical sector.
