Excavation work at the Guyana site is progressing successfully
Excavation work at our site in Guyana is progressing very well.
As part of the construction of the technical tunnel, the team adopted a specific operating method that optimised time, taking into account the presence of groundwater in the soil. The phasing involved first lowering the water table, an operation subject to water management regulations. For this reason, the team submitted the necessary authorisation request to the DGTM (Direction Générale des Territoirs et de la Mer).
After several months of technical exchanges and justifications regarding the validity of this solution, we obtained final approval. Sincere thanks to all the teams involved for their professionalism, expertise and commitment to such a challenging project!
