Cuma Wastewater Treatment Plant: Visit by Councillor Pecoraro
In recent days, we had the pleasure of welcoming Claudia Pecoraro, Councillor for the Campania Region with responsibility for the environment, the integrated water cycle, housing policy and equal opportunities, on a visit to the Cuma wastewater treatment plant, one of the most significant facilities at both national and European level.
A complex and strategic infrastructure, where water treatment is integrated with innovative resource recovery processes: sludge is converted into energy, contributing to the production of electricity and biomethane as part of a concrete circular economy approach.
But Cuma is much more than that. It is a place where technology and the environment coexist in harmony, amidst extensive green spaces and biodiversity, demonstrating how it is possible to combine plant efficiency with landscape quality.
At Impresa Pizzarotti, we are proud to contribute to the management of a site that represents an advanced model of sustainability and innovation, and we recognise the importance of opening these places up to the younger generation, to promote a culture of environmental protection based on knowledge and awareness.
