On Saturday 18 January, the IOC directors Christophe Dubi, Pierre Ducrey and Xavier Becker visited the Sliding Center construction site in Cortina. The construction site also had the honour of hosting the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, and the President of CONI and the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation, Giovanni Malagò.

The delegation, which was attended by Italy’s General Manager Francesco Aguglia and Project Director Claudio Tenna, was able to appreciate the high level of quality of the works carried out and the progress of the works in line with the schedule, which envisages pre-certification by March 2025, a result considered almost impossible by many only 10 months ago.

The visit was led by the Government Commissioner Arch. Fabio Saldini, with the President of Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2026 Veronica Vecchi and the managers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
