Blind hole tunneling operations were carried out with great celerity with production peaks of more than 1,000 meters per month on 30 excavation fronts, accompanied at the same pace by civil works and industrial erections, for a total of 84,000 m2 of mine area prepared for cultivation by block Caving.

The project includes the construction of the infrastructure for the northward extension of the Chuquicamata Underground Mine to allow the mining of Macro Blocks No. 41 and No. 42 in the first half of 2025, along with the commissioning of the underground crusher.

In addition, the project includes the construction and installation of Medium and Low Voltage electrical distribution, ventilation, industrial water, drainage and communication systems.

The multidisciplinary feature of the project, has enabled us not only to strengthen our experience in underground excavation, but also to perform civil works of considerable complexity and industrial assembly both mechanical and electrical with quality standards of absolute excellence.

This has strengthened and further prepared us for new challenges in the industry, enabling us to participate in new initiatives in the coming years.

Last but not least, extraordinary results were also achieved in terms of occupational safety, recording more than five million accident-free hours. This achievement is an important demonstration of our ongoing commitment to protecting the health and welfare of workers, confirming the effectiveness of our rigorous prevention and safety measures.
