Last week saw the launch of the central span of the flyover located near the San Giorgio Tunnel, in the municipality of Sona (VR).

This milestone is particularly significant, as it marks the installation of the final flyover included in the project, thereby bringing the reconstruction of the 15 flyovers interfering with the construction of the new Brescia East – Verona high-speed/high-capacity railway line into its final phase.

As with the other flyovers, the installation was carried out at night with motorway traffic suspended. The complex operations were carried out successfully, involving the handling and installation of the large structure using specialised vehicles within a strictly limited timeframe to ensure the motorway could reopen on schedule.

The completion of this installation thus brings to a close a significant chapter of the project, which has involved numerous teams of technicians, engineers and specialists throughout the various stages of the work.
