75th National Day for Victims of Accidents at Work
The 75th National Day for Victims of Accidents at Work, which falls on the second Sunday in October, was celebrated this year on 12 October.
The primary purpose of this event, which has its roots in the historical activities of ANMIL, is to always remember that safety at work is not optional, it is a right, and for Impresa Pizzarotti, the ‘culture of safety’ is a fundamental and essential value, which is why we pursue the goal of zero damage and zero accidents on a daily basis.
We are actively committed to taking all necessary actions to minimise risks and ensure a safe working environment for all workers, whether they are internal or external employees. To this end, we implement a series of measures and practices aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of all our people, thus also playing an active role in social responsibility.
We develop detailed procedures, provide operators with clear and detailed operating instructions, carry out regular field checks, offer comprehensive and targeted training programmes, keep workers constantly informed about the specific risks of their working environment and the preventive measures to be taken, organise practical training sessions and ensure constant health surveillance to monitor the health of our employees and prevent any work-related problems.
The results achieved in recent years are proof of our commitment. The rolling frequency index (calculation of the accident frequency index over 12 months, calculated to obtain a representative value over time) for the Italian Division’s contracts fell from 19.08 (January 2023) to 15.87 (25 August), a decrease of 17%.
As for the International Division, we went from 1.63 (January 2023) to 0.93 (25 August), a decrease of 43%.
During yesterday’s event in Parma, Pizzarotti was recognised as one of the ‘virtuous’ companies in terms of safety.
Let’s keep it up, because safety at work means respect for life.
